Dennis Martire

Dennis L. Martire began with the Laborer’s International Union of North America (LIUNA) in 1990 -- not long after his 1986 graduation from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in government. He started to put his education to work as an international representative for LIUNA’s jurisdictional disputes department.

His successes on the job were quickly noticed and Dennis Martire became assistant director then director of the laborers’ construction department. By 2000, Martire was moving into heavy leadership roles. He became the assistant regional manager of the mid-atlantic region then, only two years later, was elected as regional manager and vice president. Martire has filled this position since 2002, making significant strides for unionized workers across the mid-atlantic area of the United States. His career with LIUNA has now spanned three decades and shows no signs of slowing down soon.
